Aug. 11, 2021 – A new video (above) showcases street medians adopted throughout the city of Santa Fe under Keep Santa Fe Beautiful’s revitalized Adopt-a-Median program.

Created and produced by Joe Abeyta, Multimedia Production Manager for the City of Santa Fe, the video shows a number of landscaped street medians from an overhead video camera attached to a drone.

“For many years now, the Adopt-a-Median program has been a signature effort of Keep Santa Fe Beautiful in partnership with local businesses,” said Keep Santa Fe Beautiful Executive Director Carol Branch. “A committee of the KSFB Board of Directors and staff has devoted more than two years restructuring and revitalizing the median program, which captures the natural beauty of Santa Fe through vibrant colors of drought-tolerant, native plants.

“We hope everyone who walks, cycles or drives past these beautifully-landscaped medians find them visually appealing and enjoys these displays of natural beauty,” said Branch.

Through KSFB’s Adopt-a-Median program, nearly 50 street medians have been adopted by more than two dozen businesses citywide. The program also aligns with Keep Santa Fe Beautiful’s mission of keeping Santa Fe clean, green and beautiful.
