Keep Santa Fe Beautiful has received President’s Circle recognition from the national Keep America Beautiful program.

In qualifying for the President’s Circle Award, Keep Santa Fe Beautiful has met Keep America Beautiful’s standards by calculating the affiliate’s cost/benefit ratio and administering initiatives to end littering, improve recycling and beautify the Santa Fe community.

“We are honored that Keep America Beautiful (KAB) has recognized the hard work and dedication of hundreds of citizen volunteers and business supporters who contribute to Keep Santa Fe Beautiful’s year-around efforts,” said KSFB Executive Director Carol Branch. “This recognition validates the commitment our dedicated volunteers share in helping to keep Santa Fe beautiful and increases the awareness of our many programs.”

The Cost/Benefit Analysis is a measurement tool that enables affiliates to demonstrate their ability to leverage community resources by determining the dollar value returned to the community for every dollar invested by government. Some of the anit-littering and beautification initiatives that KSFB administers include the newly overhauled Adopt-A-Median Program, the partnership with the MASTER’S Program Early College Charter High School students to improve public lands, anti-graffiti mural installations and the design, construction and maintenance of Santa Fe’s first entry-way sign.

“We wouldn’t be able to achieve our successes and make an impact in our community without our volunteers, partnerships with businesses, the dedication of the KSFB Board of Directors, and of course our close working relationship with the city of Santa Fe’s Environmental Services Division,” Branch added. “Our sincere thanks to everyone who helps us make a difference, each and every day.”
